On Cohasset Rocks, on the border between Scituate and Cohasset, Massachusetts.Station established 1850;
present tower built in 1860 for $300,000. Automated in 1947; converted to solar power in 1983. Tower is 114 feet high, light is 85 feet above sea level. Still an active aid
to navigation.
